  • Roatan has an International Airport

    IMPORTANT TIP: book flights separately

This is because flight search engines aren’t good in this part of the world

    1) Check flights from your place to an aiport with a direct flight, e.g. Miami, Houston, Atlanta, Denver, Madrid, San Pedro Sula, Palmerola or Tegucigalpa

    2) Book a flight from there to Roatan International Airport

(Ferrys go from La Ceiba as well, but this option requires a bit of DIY travel experience. It’s safe, but ask a local for guidance.)

Plan to arrive at least one day before the conference, and leave the day after, to enjoy the full experience

  • Roatan has plenty of options to stay, but we encourage you to pick one of the following three to best arrange on-site transport:

    1) Entrepreneurs’ Villa in Palmetto Bay

Located a 20 minutes drive from Prospera in a group house with prices ranging from $240 to $800 for 4 nights

    BOOK HERE

    2) Las Verandas, Pristine Bay

Within the Prospera zone, close to the Beach Club, a 20m ride to the Beta Building

This option starts at $800 for 4 nights

    BOOK HERE

    3) Roatan Yacht Club

Just outside of Pristine Bay, this option is a 10-15 minute ride to both conference venues

This option starts at $400 for 4 nights

    BOOK HERE

  • Safety: the island is very safe. Just don’t do things you shouldn’t do anywhere: don’t go out at night on your own, in sketchy areas.

Transport: Your conference tickets fully cover the cost of transportation each day.

A driver will pick you up from the airport the day before the conference (not if you come earlier).

A driver will take you to and from the conference, and to locations that are part of the program.

A driver will take you back to the airport on the last day of the conference, or the day after.

  • This is the right conference for you if you’re an innovator, bold thinker and doer.

    • You are a (prospective) founder or key employee of a tech startup in the focus industry

    • You are a VC, angel or any kind of investor in the focus industry

    • You are an influencer / expert in the focus industry

Space is limited to 100 attendees.

  • A 3 full-day event (arrival the day before, departure the day after).

An unusual conference format, based on the “Unconference” philosophy.

Instead of a scheduled 10h program, what we’ll do is …

    • A pitch competition on the last day, for existing and new business ideas

    • Little scheduled program (max. 2-3h) to leave room for spontaneity

    • Lots of time and room for networking and spontaneous workshops

We want you to come away from the conference with new partners, investors, co-founders and friends.

    More explained here.

  • The island is overall very safe.

We recommend you stay in one of the main areas: West Bay, West End, Sandy Bay, French Harbour, French Key, Pristine Bay, Palmetto Bay.

Avoid walking alone on long, empty stretches of beach.

Avoid Coxen Hole, Las Fuertes and neighbourhoods that seem sketchy on foot at night.

You’ll always be fine by car anywhere on the island.

You can move around freely if you keep the above in mind. The people on the island are overwhelmingly friendly and most speak English.
